The benefits of storytelling
Storytelling skills are not only useful for being able to keep one or more children interested or quiet for a while! Many people in education know what benefits storytelling has for: learning; firing imaginations; and getting children interested in reading. But the benefits of storytelling go far beyond this: Storytelling skills are, as many people have found, a fantastic thing to have in both social and working environments. Giving a presentation and being interviewed just two situations where you have to not only express yourself and your individuality; but to also get your message across to others. You have to make them listen to you in the short-term and also to remember what you have said in the long-term. In their social lives; many people experience difficulty in expressing themselves properly. With friends or especially with new people, telling a joke or just being able to introduce themselves can be a real chore. When you are telling a story, you are using all of yourself: mind, body, imagination, and your true enthusiasm. You are communicating with others on a deeper and, much better level.
