LOLLOBAL storytelling was established in 2005. We aim to bring storytelling to as many people as possible, because we believe in the power of storytelling to: educate, inform, build bridges and entertain.  We use the original Romani storytelling skills passed down to us by our families to educate about our culture as this is how we can use those skills in positive ways.  We enjoy working with partners around the country who share our aims.

We offer: storytelling days for schools, festivals and museums; storytelling evenings; corporate events; children’s parties or weddings. Our founder and main storyteller Richard O’Neill, is one of the leading storytellers in the UK. Born into a large Romani family, Richard learned his craft at an early age.

As well as storytelling, Richard is also a writer; his first play, ‘The Management Reserve the Right’ was broadcast on BBC Radio Four in 2007. His latest play 'The Hardest Word' has it's worldwide premiere at the Edinburgh Festival in August 2008. He is currently working on adapting another of his stories ('Vesh Django') into a play for children.

For high schools we offer workshops in storytelling skills, monologue development and creative writing. To help with literacy and personal confidence.

Don’t forget that adults love stories too! So if you want something special for your business meeting or conference, especially in the after lunch spot then get in touch and we can advise.

All of our storytellers are CRB checked.
